Completion of the works is planned for the end of August. The official opening will take place on August 28.

In connection with the ceremonial session of the City Council (22 July), the contractor accelerated the construction works and it is now 90% complete. Plac Wolności is an example of a very modern approach to investing in the city. Recently, the concrete surface turned into a beautiful green surface. The investments included the construction of retention reservoirs, a plant irrigation system, planting greenery suitable for urban conditions, and the building of a fountain that will create a unique microclimate and humidify the air, and at the same time purify the air of the square, particularly affected by the busy provincial road. It will undoubtedly form a new recreation and meeting zone for residents.

Project „Investments in the field of green-blue infrastructure in Grodzisk Mazowiecki” co-financed by the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, program area: Mitigation of climate change and adaptation to its effects. The activities are co-financed 85% from Norwegian funds, implemented as part of the project entitled „Investments in the field of green-blue infrastructure in Grodzisk Mazowiecki” co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 under the program: „Environment, Energy and Climate Change” (Contract No. MFEOG.07.03.0-07-0025/21-00).
