We invite all residents to the grand opening of Plac Wolności in a new green version, which will take place next Sunday, August 21, at 1:00 p.m.
In program:
- blue-green workshops for children and adults: planting plants, creating flower arrangements, lavender and its use,
- outdoor exhibition „Plac Wolności – past and present”,
- beekeeping club stand,
- and many more.
Through the EEA Funds and Norway Grants, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway contribute to reducing social and economic disparities and strengthening bilateral relations with beneficiary countries in Europe. The three countries cooperate closely with the EU based on the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA Agreement). In the period 2009-2014, the EEA and Norway Grants amounted to EUR 1.79 billion. Norway provides around 97% of the total funding. Funding is available to NGOs, research institutions and universities, and the public and private sectors in the 12 new EU Member States plus Greece, Portugal, and Spain. There is extensive cooperation with entities from donor countries, and projects can be implemented until 2016. Key areas of support include environmental protection and climate change, research and scholarships, civil society, health and child support, gender equality, justice, and cultural heritage. Project „Investments in the field of green-blue infrastructure in Grodzisk Mazowiecki” benefits from co-financing in the amount of PLN 4.6 million from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway under the EEA and Norwegian funds. The aim of the project entitled „Investments in green and blue infrastructure in Grodzisk Mazowiecki” is about mitigating climate change and adapting to its effects.
